Online Instructors are assigned to distance education courses only. Their primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Provides leadership and guidance to students within online courses which promotes a sense of community and empowers students to independently complete all assignments and assessments in a timely manner
* Evaluates all assessments and reports assessment results
* Responds to student correspondence
* Posts at least one announcement per week at the start of every week within the online course which provides an overview of what topics will be covered along with relevant information regarding the assessments which need to be completed for each week
* Assists in periodic review and revision of course materials
* Ensures student compliance with program policies and guidelines
* Maintains appropriate expertise and competencies through continuing professional development
* Completes all annual mandatory facilitator training
* Provides appropriate online course checks to ensure that all weekly modular components are functional and reports any technical issues immediately to the program director for resolution
* Assists students with the scheduling of online proctored exams (e.g., provides students with feedback regarding whether or not they are eligible to take an online proctored exam and how to go about scheduling a proctored exam

TEACHING EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of facilitating experience preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree in their expertise preferred
LICENSES/ REGISTRATIONS/ CERTIFICATION: As needed
