NCLEX Dir, Prelicensure Nursing Program

Position Summary
Work with the Kaplan School of Nursing prelicensure programs to improve NCLEX pass rates to equal or exceed the state and national pass rates by quarter. Develop, implement and evaluate a plan with each Kaplan School of Nursing prelicensure program to integrate testing, remediation and review products and services (e.g., Admission Test, Integrated Testing, and NCLEX Review) into the curriculum in an effective and efficient manner. Communicate with the Vice President of the School of Nursing about the status and the results of the implementation of testing, remediation and prep products and services with each Kaplan School of Nursing prelicensure program through designated written reports, emails, and conference calls.

Key Job Responsibilities
Work with the Kaplan Schools of Nursing prelicensure programs to implement testing, remediation and prep products, services and activities to increase the NCLEX pass rates to equal or exceed the state and national NCLEX RN and PN/VN pass rates each quarter. This includes, but is not limited to the following activities: Develop and implement a plan with each Kaplan School of Nursing prelicensure program to integrate testing, remediation and prep products and services (e.g., Admission Test, Integrated Testing, and NCLEX Review) into the curriculum in an effective and efficient manner. Travel to Kaplan Schools of Nursing prelicensure programs across the country to provide inservice activities and orientations regarding NCLEX activities to students and faculty. Monthly monitor the results of the integration of testing, remediation and prep products and service and ongoing NCLEX pass rates at each Kaplan School of Nursing prelicensure program.

Act as a resource person to Directors of Nursing and faculty members at Kaplan Schools of Nursing prelicensure programs about RN and PN/VN licensure preparation activities. Communicate with the Vice President of the School of Nursing weekly about the status and results of the implementation of testing, remediation, and pre products and services with each Kaplan School of Nursing prelicensure program through designated written reports, emails, and conference calls. Communicates to the Vice President of the School of Nursing suggestions on how to improve processes and increase probability of efficient and effective use of testing, remediation and prep products and services to improve outcomes. Each quarter, update the NCLEX Pass Rate spreadsheet on the nursing SharePoint site with the NCLEX pass rates for first time testtakers received from each Board of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree (M.A./M.S.) MSN required. 7 - 10 years related experience 5+ years of teaching experience in nursing required; significant knowledge of the RN and PN licensure exam, NCLEX; knowledge of testing and remediation programs for prelicensure programs. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy and ability to use work processing, spreadsheets, and other computer applications required. Strong presentation skills required. Proven track record of achieving established goals Self-motivated and able to work productively in an unstructured environment. High energy, positive and professional approach, "can-do" attitude, flexible with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and function as a effective member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge about adult learning theory preferred; knowledge of assessments, testing and remediation preferred.
