University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is seeking an energetic and outgoing individual as the Community Relations Coordinator. This exciting position is responsible for providing outreach, enrollment and new student advisement services to prospective and new students to increase enrollments and awareness at community colleges in Texas. In-state travel is required 4-5 days per week to community colleges in Texas and some other regional locations. Specific responsibilities include:

* Providing outreach services, enrollment services, and new student advising services at community colleges
* Supporting regional recruitment and outreach events targeting prospective students at community colleges, community events, and corporate locations
* Assisting in the identification and/or design of student services, classes, and other UMUC activities to support national growth
* Tracking leads, admittances, and enrolled students for designated territories
* Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred with at least two years of college coursework completed. Two years experience in higher education student services area preferred. Candidates are required to be proficient in using Microsoft Office products. Candidates will have strong organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal communication skills for both one-on-one interactions and group presentations; the ability to work with diverse populations; demonstrate a clear understanding of professionalism; and demonstrates ability to work responsibly and independently. Candidates with experience in community college settings, higher education academic advising, recruitment, marketing, or customer service are preferred. Some evenings and weekends are required. Candidates must have a good driving record along with reliable transportation and auto insurance. Position is required to have a standard home office.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
