Grand Canyon University invites applications for open online adjunct faculty positions within the College of Health Science. We are looking for individuals who have an enthusiasm to share their knowledge with undergraduate students at our University.
Immediate needs for Adjuncts in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.
The Adjunct for the College of Health Sciences (online classes) will provide instruction that incorporates current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual's teaching assignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* Teaches one or more subjects within prescribed curriculum.
* Compiles bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
* Stimulates class discussions.
* Compiles, administers, and grades examinations, or assigns this work to others.
* Remains current with new trends and development in his/her field of expertise.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Masters degree in the field of behavioral health. Doctoral degree preferred.
* Independent level licensure (LPC, LMHC, LMFT, CISW, LISAC).
* Minimum of 2-5 years counseling work experience.
* Minimum of 2-5 years in teaching and/or training experience.
* Additional requirements depending on the subject matter taught in the class.
