The selected candidate will serve as full-time faculty member where employment with South University represents the primary professional work obligation.

This position may offer the opportunity for a greater administrative role within the Department of Healthcare Management.

The incumbent will work four academic quarters and teach 16 courses for each appointment year. Full-time faculty duties include serving on University and departmental committees, attending meetings, reviewing curriculum, developing/revising courses, advising students, mentoring online faculty, and participating in annual faculty development.

Significant practical experience in a healthcare setting desired. Knowledge:
- Doctorate degree in Public Health, previous college-level teaching experience, and work-place experience directly related to the subject domain
- At least 6 months of online teaching experience with excellent teaching skills as evidenced in prior teaching evaluations
- High-level technology proficiency, with relevant software proficiency as required by the specified subject domain
- Willingness to work in an accelerated learning format teaching four courses per academic quarter and to work online with students on a daily basis for five of seven days per week
- Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
